As one Chaos God would say
*Ahem*

JUST AS PLAND!
DK 9th May 2016, 4:26 AM edit delete reply
I did not expect that.

And it makes Kinar a lot less likeable suddenly...

Dafuck is she doing?!
Rhazagal 9th May 2016, 12:55 PM edit delete reply
Bluffing, most likely.
Guest 10th May 2016, 3:11 AM edit delete reply
Getting her brother out of an entirely dangerous situation where he would die otherwise, while simultaneously putting herself in the good graces of the enemies leadership to gather more information about how they plan to turn everyone into a Worgen.

I'm interested to see whether or not any of them smell Serid hiding out inside Kinar's coat or if the coats masking his scent well enough.

I like the expression on Kinar there. But I definitely smell acting going on, hope she can pull it off in the end!
Aestral 9th May 2016, 4:43 AM edit delete reply
YES! Now just get Serid out of your cloak, and you can start conquering all of Azeroth with your real husband! Can't wait till next week.

I feel like I should know this, but Kinar's spells aren't generally purple, are they? I feel like the purple signifies dark magic.

Oh Kinar. I hope this is just a hoax and you're not really siding with Mordin...
Amocin 9th May 2016, 7:30 PM edit delete reply
Amocin
Different colors mean different things. Though a color can be assosiated with a particular 'class' it isnt always that way. Amo's mute spell is a sickly green, where as healing spells are a bright green. Holy is always yellow/white, and neutral are generally purple... or at least that's how I figure it.
druidofthewolf 11th May 2016, 12:28 PM edit delete reply
so all mages are evil especially the Kirin Tor and use that purple arcane magic that must be dark.... arcane magic is normally purple and is the life blood of the titans so i would not call it evil but to each there own

Jiala 9th May 2016, 7:12 AM edit delete reply
Hrm... I don't think shes fully on their side, that shes trying to join to find the ferals and try to stop her husband that way...

But then again I could be wrong. Story could go either way at this point.
Valareos 9th May 2016, 7:13 AM edit delete reply
Did not see that coming...
XionLord 9th May 2016, 7:41 AM edit delete reply
Lots of mixed feelings right now. But more then anything this makes me wonder. I mean this sounds like a half baked terrorist plan. Far too risky to really get behind.

Guest 9th May 2016, 8:07 AM edit delete reply
My guess is that she's doing this so she can try and get sense into her husband without her brother or her family interfering
Greyhair 10th May 2016, 2:16 AM edit delete reply
In my opinion this is the most likely Kinar's plan. Also liked Shai's "Huh?" face in panel 4.

I wonder ... are they playing at something? Or are we reall going to see an undead Kinar?

Nice Twist!!
Can't say I was Fully expecting it.....but I felt a disturbance in the Force all the same! :p
Dreamfox 9th May 2016, 11:21 AM edit delete reply
People, does anyone really think she has changed sides? After what she said earlier?

I smell a spy. If she can get to his feral Worgen and get them away from him and treated, he has nothing to make his plan work.
Unless he spends time to recreate it. That is if Drogan gives him that time.

At least that's my thought.
Phoenix AJ 9th May 2016, 11:52 AM edit delete reply
I want to believe she's playing the spy... Maybe Drogan asked her to help by infiltrating the core of DKs... I really don't think Kinar is dumb enough to fall for the whole "if the world is against you, then fight the world" idea...

If I'm mistaken, I must say I'll enjoy the plot twist but be quite dissapointed in the character... She'd be giving up too soon, to my taste...
Phoenix AJ 9th May 2016, 11:54 AM edit delete reply
Also, Amocin, if you don't mind, I've got to ask: since the bite happens, how long does it take for your characters to change? Is it instantly, by phases, does it depend on the race?

As always, great comic and beautiful work!
Amocin 9th May 2016, 12:01 PM edit delete reply
Amocin
Many factors come into play when it comes to how long a change can occur. Some it will take only minutes, others a few hours. At most I would see it taking 3 hours before somebody succumbs to the curse.

Things that effect it.
- Mental and Physical resistances can help them fight the curse. Mental is not nearly as strong as fighting off the curse as physically resistant people, who will push their bodies to remain in their natural form.
- Class, Druids naturally know how to change their form, and can fight off a new one longer than a Cleric who is unfamiliar with what is happening to them.
- Race, any race tied to druids will have a faster change than a non-druidic race. A night elf who isnt a druid, but has druids in their family will change faster and easier than an Orc.
Magmawing 11th May 2016, 1:21 AM edit delete reply
Amocin, what kinds of syndromes will your character go to change before the full transformation?
Amocin 11th May 2016, 7:55 AM edit delete reply
Amocin
Like... mental and physical changes?

Obviously there will be the change in body, which will result in many new abilities that the new Worgen isnt used to. Heightened Smell and Hearing will likely be disorienting to new Worgen. As Shai said, they may be able to smell it, doesnt mean they know what it is.. So I think they might have minor breakdowns when it comes to fowl smells.

Mental issues will range around acceptance of what they are.. Some may spend more time in their 'born' body trying to hopelessly hold onto their past life. All the stages of grief will apply, as they have lost a part of themselves.. These stages could be short, or long lasting, depending on the Worgen.

Mostly, I see new worgen being disoriented. A new body is something that would be difficult to get used to for many different reasons.. Their height may be different, causing them to be spacially unaware... For example.. After having my kid, I cant tell you how many times I knocked my breasts into something, a door frame, a dresser, anything at that level that I had to pass by.. We may not know it but we are aware of the space we take up, and are able to calculate how close we can get to an object without hitting it when walking by.. Its so natural that we dont even think about it... but when something like that changes, and changes suddenly, it can cause a lot of painful issues.
Luna 9th May 2016, 12:50 PM edit delete reply
I feel Kinar is only acting to get more information on this, and have Shai go off and inform the others. I wouldn't call this a betrayal, but a well calculated act to get inside the situation and find a way to stop it.
dragondruid 9th May 2016, 1:06 PM edit delete reply
she probably took shai out of the equation just so she can make mordin think shes on his side and might pull a fast one on him at a later time and she she still has serid in her coat and so far he hasnt said a thing since this started
Rembrant 9th May 2016, 1:35 PM edit delete reply
Hmm. I think she may be faking it. Pretend she joined him only to be the new "mole", just without telling anyone so as to make it all more believable. Plus can't forget, Serid is still with her there.
dannyhighfield 9th May 2016, 1:37 PM edit delete reply
oh dear not good. but i think this is all act. I dont think she let them change the world. and if she dose let them have there way there she is just as mad as any feral worgen,. I love it, i love his face too. I hope your well. have a nice evening danny
Silvtalon 9th May 2016, 2:34 PM edit delete reply
Interesting plot twist, I can easily see that she did what she did for three possible reasons.

1) To get her bother out of harms way.
2) Gather more information and try to stop what is happening.
3) If she knows her son is alive to rescue him.

Just my thoughts.

Seriously, Amo, how on earth are you finding all of these ways to completely change my thoughts towards the outcome to Druids?
It's as if you're not actually one human...
Wait...
I knew it...
You're secretly an organisation with contacts in Anonymous who's single purpose is to create cliffhangers and a horde of people that eagerly wait week after week for the next page so we can actually work out what's going on!
The Ultimate Goal? To make Blizzard pick up their game. (I wish.)

In all seriousness, excellent page, as per usual.
Please never change.

She's planning something and I like it.
Wolf 9th May 2016, 5:09 PM edit delete reply
I see two possibilities.

1) She is in love and wants to get to her goal (in this case, a lasting relationship with Serid) and is going blind because of it, not realizing the consequences happening when she sides with them.

2) She is merely bluffing.
Sight 9th May 2016, 5:35 PM edit delete reply

Well! I suppose 'from this day forward... in sickness and in health' is something she takes seriously. Whether she genuinely feels this way, I'm not sure, though. But I do like the theme of someone sticking by their spouse even after the spouse becomes a Death Knight. Just because the spouse is forever tainted by dark energies and is a necromantic abomination doesn't mean it's time to leave, you know!

Kulavak 10th May 2016, 11:37 PM edit delete reply
Whelp. She did reveal that she knows her son is still alive. I am hoping this is a ploy to rescue her son with Serids help. I notice she hasn't revealed Serids presence to Mordin.

I wonder what serid must be feeling... being hidden in kinar's cookie jar and all... Either he's like, "oh fuck", because of what just transpired, or he be like me, "mmm, nice, soft, and cozy in here... I could get used to this"... Probably the first one.
Dreamweaver 11th May 2016, 11:45 AM edit delete reply
what you folks keep forgetting is Mordin still has their son.I think that's her motive for this.
Guest 11th May 2016, 3:39 PM edit delete reply
um Amocin I have to ask isn't mordin weak by Warcraft standards? if he is wouldn't that make the chance of any of his plans succeeding really low?
Amocin 11th May 2016, 4:05 PM edit delete reply
Amocin
By WoW standards, he is a Boss creature, not a player creature. I gave him unique armor for this very reason, as Bosses and more powerful people in WoW tend to have armor unique to just them. He also has unique abilities, same as Boss characters. He gets to break the rules, and work outside of the Player Character's abilities.

He is only slightly weaker than Drogan on his own, and if you recall earlier, Ghath believed that Drogan could not be defeated by 20 men.
Guest 13th May 2016, 8:28 AM edit delete reply
So, that means you would need 10-25 players to kill him? :P

Aetheos 12th May 2016, 11:13 PM edit delete reply
Damn, she's faking it as good as an orgasm with Victor. Just kidding guys, calm down. And meh I doubt Mordin would have killed Shai anyways, i'm pretty sure that would piss Ghath and Kinar off. And I don't think Mordin is necessarily that evil, if evil at all. I personally see his goal as a misplaced sense of justice more than anything.
Crowwolf 14th May 2016, 8:02 AM edit delete reply
This is smart on her part, she's playing off to her husband that she was only against the idea because she thought it wouldn't turn everyone. Now she suddenly seems on their side...or she is. Either way she's in a very powerful position. I can't see her going along with this forever, reason being is because she's never indicated she fully accepted the idea as when she talked to her father. Obviously she has some form of a plan and I think it's fully to get her son back. Because screw Mordin. That's how I'm viewing it.
