Cool, the escape is now underway. But somehow I feel it won't be that easy. Still, I look forward to seeing what happens next, such as if they get back safely, or how Mordin reacts to this, if he doesn't already suspects the presence of moles among his crew.
Guest 29th Aug 2014, 2:11 AM edit delete reply
There are some pretty glaring perspective issues in this page, especially on the last panel. It looks like Kaitrin somehow shrunk and is now climbing up Mondos' leg.
You should give each character their own space, and try not to make them line up, whenever possible. You'd not only avoid these wonky perspective issues, but also make your panels look a lot less cluttered and easier to read.
Amocin 29th Aug 2014, 2:27 AM edit delete reply
Amocin
While I always welcome critiques, please refrain from using the word "glaring". Its insulting and there are much better ways to describe the issue you see with a particular panel without using such aggressive words.

I am aware that I have problems with perspective, and it is something that I am working on. Thank you for pointing it out, if i have time I will try to approach this panel differently and update it.
Demeratrix 29th Aug 2014, 7:45 AM edit delete reply
Personally, I don't know wtf that person is talking about. I had to go back and stare at the last panel for a bit to even discover the supposed "issue".
I saw it exactly as I believe was intended- Mondos is in the foreground (hence larger), Kaitrin in the background (hence smaller), with the ice walls framing the scene, while the characters are in movement.
The comic is incredibly detailed, and far better than much else of comparable ambition on the internet, and I thank Amocin for having the vision, the skill, and the guts to create and gift us all with this webcomic.
Thank you.
AGMoyer 29th Aug 2014, 9:58 AM edit delete reply
I believe it is fine your perspective is accurate based on the angle it is displayed. It looks smaller because the hoof is not shown under the worgans leg though by realistic stand point you would not see it being shown as the legs are not that long for the 'deer'?
Guest 30th Aug 2014, 4:08 AM edit delete reply
"Glaring" is insulting? Aggressive, even? Didn't know that.

My apologies, Amocin. I never intended to come across as offensive, but, being a non-native speaker, I sometimes make these communication blunders.

Nevertheless, it is my belief that an artist is rewarded not by the audience's praise, but by their criticism. If you will not share it, I hope that you will, at least, understand it.

Your work has definitely improved in the time I've been following this webcomic, especially in the writing department. It's up to you to ignore those telling you that you have reached perfection and strive to evolve even further.
AAlbusUUmbra 30th Aug 2014, 9:10 AM edit delete reply
Yeah, I'm about as taken aback about the whole "glaring" thing as Guest is, but for another reason. Glaring literally means "unmistakable" and "obvious," which is not exactly offensive given it's merely describing the severity of something. Seriously though, if he genuinely meant that then the criticism is just very strong, but still constructive.

However, words like "God-awful," "revolting," and to a slightly lesser extent "blatant" certainly carry with them aggression and offense.

Just pointing that out.
Amocin 30th Aug 2014, 9:22 AM edit delete reply
Amocin
When somebody glares at you, its aggressive. That is now I see it, and no amount of stating otherwise will change my opinion. When people say they see a glaring mistake, it is most often used by those who really dont care to give critisim, and are often those who just want to rip apart a picture.

But this is how I see the word, please respect that and move on.

I still took the criticism the Guest pointed out, and I am looking at how to fix that problem. Does it matter beyond that? Just know not to use the word in the future... I really dont see why this has become such a big thing.

Thank you for proving my point.
Rankamateur 29th Aug 2014, 4:29 AM edit delete reply
I have to strongly disagree with `Guest'. The reason for the perspective change in the last panel is because Mondos has used his `Running Wild' ability to leap ahead, and has come much closer to the `camera view' than Kaitrin...who would as a consequence, naturally appear smaller.

In other words, I would compliment Amocin for a fine job of portraying proportion in action, rather than making what one could call a `glaring' mistake in observation.
Twylite Fang 29th Aug 2014, 7:49 AM edit delete reply
Um... I think you need to take a step back for a moment... Look CLOSELY at the 2 panels that show the DK girl (can't remember her name xD). you will notice that her mouth actually lines up to the exact same spot in BOTH panels. Amo, there's only 1 issue with the last panel, and that's how she appears to be about half as thin as she usually is (as in like pressing against her front and back, halving the space she takes up), though it could simply be a perspective thing, caused by distance and angle. Also, in the first panel showing her, it only shows her head, not her entire body. So please, dude, give Amo a break... He has to make a page a week, WITH everything else that may or may not be going on in his life.

I apologize if I don't succeed in making this a response, rather than being its own post. But I would like to address that I feel as though the perspective issue mentioned doesn't seem very prevalent. The second panel looks a bit off to me, but I'd rather not judge unfinished art. I'm certain that the final piece will look great, as always. I wish that I could commit to creating a comic, the way you have. :( I lose interest too quickly.

Now would be a good time for Kaitrin or Ghath's subordinate to reveal that they have a 2 person flying mount.

He is. Sandstone Drake. That was back in the region of the 20s or 30s. But that's a heck of a big wingspan for inside a dungeon.

For those who are not aware that worgen have a racial "mount" know as Running Wild were they drop on their fours like in the second panel. To be honest the size actually likes right, as I have been in the running wild position next to a druid in travel form and my toon is about that tall.

ZombieHunter 29th Aug 2014, 6:24 AM edit delete reply
Their is my fav thing about Worgens is that ability to run on all fours. To what the point of land mount when you can run on all fours a flying mount is the only thing that you need to get and the training for the mounts.

It's so neat to see how your art style has changed (grown, really) from the first pages to the most recent ones. Huge fan of the comic, keep up the great work. :)

Honestly I see nothing wrong with perspective. This aint no marvel comic. This is a very lovely and unique style that I ( yes a portrait drawer) cant master. Bravo amo for mastering this cartoon style. Let the trolls be troll hun.

You know what Im dieing to see? Evil mordin + kinar naughty scene. Or amo + garth & kinars brother (forgot the name).
I really really am curious how these worgens would look in their human form aswell :3
Amocin 29th Aug 2014, 10:13 PM edit delete reply
Amocin
I dont take critiquing as trolling, I only had issue with the word "Glaring" as it is an aggressive word and can sometimes come off as un-helpful. I could see where he was coming from with his argument, but things were still flat colored at that point, and perhaps now they look different with the shaded version.. Either way I know I have problems with perspective, and have been trying more with more dynamic poses and perspective... its a work in progress though, and needs to be worked on.

Also, Ghath, Shai, and Amo.. Its a thought, and would like to know what others think about that as a monthly pic.

As far as humans go... i had thought about it, but when it came to a point where I could have shown Kinar's human form, I felt that it was pointless, and slowed things down, so I scraped it. Ill try to fit it in elsewhere.

Just to get things clear, I barely talked about my work, only because Amocin's work reminds me of mine without the furries and thr sex. I only mentioned two things but did not want to further them out of respect, I can't seem to recall the first but the second one was to only ask to borrow a genius line (thx again for that :). I do however remember in the first one how Boomer and I got too deep in the conversation which I did say to stop and we ended it, I will talk with Boomer some time today to tell him to keep the conversation more in person to prevent any further conflict with irritated users and do my best to not speak of my work. I do apologise for my disrespect.

If it bothered me overly much, I woudldn't have approved the comments, or I would have said something about it. Its okay, I understand. I just try to stop conflict from arising from within the fans.
Shade 4th Sep 2014, 12:31 AM edit delete reply
Right, I know where you're going with this, but is true that Boomer and I talk too much about random stuff about eachother that we could just talk about in person. I talked to him earlier today and now we will do our best to not write boring nonsense that no one is really interested in on your pages.

How much would it coast for u to turn this in to a anime show or movie
Dreamfox 3rd Sep 2014, 6:59 AM edit delete reply
Probably too much for such a limited audience.
Don't forget, you either need to get the ok from Blizzard, have it rewritten so no copyrights are violated or pay licensing fees. And that's before any production costs come up.

This little short film was done by one person and took half a year to make. There was a real movie/series planned on that, but only after about 10 years the project now goes ahead thanks to a Kickstarter.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lEPk-Z3u918
And by the way, the creator of this film used to do CGI for Babylon 5 and the new Battlestar Galactical#. Sadly no studio was interested then and now they would probably would want to make it into a Kung Fu Panda clone.

I always loved the "Gimme" that the Worgen got that they are able run, A.K.A. Be their own mount to move fast. No having to waste (When I still played anyways) the 40-60 gold for a mount. Just get level 40 (or was it 30?) and buy the riding skill and ping! Free mount.
