Amocin
I realize on the previous page that I messed up Mordin's word bubble. I will have to go back and fix that. My bad.

Blizzard has not featured enough information on what the Nightmare stuff is... we all have our own theories right now.. But just roll with it. It wont play an overly big part.

This months pic will feature Anders... doing what or who.. I do not know yet.

huh... and there was i thinking that mordin only wanted to have sex with her, wow that is way more twisted, using his own wife to make nightmare creatures and then send them against his enemies, the guy is pure stone cold evil.
Ben Raptor 4th Jul 2014, 3:34 AM edit delete reply
wow...your right.
Maby 4th Jul 2014, 4:26 AM edit delete reply
That, or he may turn the nightmare creatures on her to try to bend her to his will.
Dreamfox 4th Jul 2014, 5:48 AM edit delete reply
Worse.
Depending how Amocin works it, but as far as I know, the Emeralsd Dream mirrors Azeroth and vice versa. Not just people, but everything.

Although it all hangs with Kinar. There are two things that can help her. One, her love to Serid. Two, Nathair and the little one. So, the last point depends on how much Mordng can do against Nathair in this realm.

This is getting more interesting by the week.

Actually, go watch Nobbel's youtube video on the Emerald Dream. He talks about, in great detail, how the Emerald Dream is everything that isn't. Where the Barrens are, is lush forests. Where Stormwind City stands proud, tall trees loom above. The Emerald Dream is basically the blueprint before Mankind, created by the Titans after they imprisoned the Old Gods beneath the surface of the planet.
ZombieHunter 4th Jul 2014, 2:35 AM edit delete reply
Wait to what i can tell Mordin put Kinar in this dream like world? If he did that just messed up if he uses a spell to do this. If she finds out he alive and he did that she wont forgive that easy and yet i got this feeling the dragon find a way to help Kinar out of the dream world somehow.
Rembrant 4th Jul 2014, 3:04 AM edit delete reply
Ooh, Mordin, you are an absolute ass! That is some serious evil vibes there, especially when it's directed to the woman he married and had a son with.

On the positive side, it's nice to see Nathair seems fiercely protective of the baby, as well as he seems to have a dislike of Mordin himself. He keeps getting more intriguing as a character.

Well at least now Serid only had a rival instead of a rival in love go team Kinar/Serid lol. Or maybe he isn't as evil as he seems and has some sort of good intentions but only time will tell.
WoWzors 4th Jul 2014, 4:05 AM edit delete reply
Didn't they give some information about the Emerald Nightmare in the book Stormrage? Thought it was the Old God in combination with that X named guy.

look s almost like a new Sha is going to break out of Kinar O.o

Amocin 4th Jul 2014, 11:08 PM edit delete reply
Amocin
I have no idea who Sha is.
Rankamateur 4th Jul 2014, 11:17 PM edit delete reply
The various types of Sha were introduced in the Mists of Pandaria expansion, Amocin. They are remnants of a slain Old God, and are physical representations of negative emotions...such as anger, hatred, and despair. They tend to manifest when such emotions are not kept under control, although this normally only happens in Pandaria.
Naraxis 4th Jul 2014, 11:38 PM edit delete reply
He's referring to the incarnations of negative emotions known as the "Sha" introduced in mists of pandaria.
Sojourn 5th Jul 2014, 12:27 AM edit delete reply
This link should clear up what Kitsunekami meant about Sha. http://wowpedia.org/Sha
Aetheos 5th Jul 2014, 10:26 PM edit delete reply
Basically put the Sha are beings that can possess you and/or alter your emotions. There are 7 main sha and each controls a different emotion. (anger despair doubt fear hatred pride and violence are the 7 Sha "masters") The Sha of Despair would be able to control Kinar, quite easily right now and force her into a permanent state of despair, unlike anger, hatred, pride, etc this possession will not make her violent. However if she was in the presence of a Sha of anger he could force the anger on her and possess her that way, causing her to fight for him. A prime example of Sha possession is the Mantids. As it has been said before though since she is not linked to pandaria in any way the Sha can not influence her. The Sha stay in Pandaria unless someone brings them out (though i wont say anything further on that subject) and good for us at that.
Silvermane 5th Jul 2014, 5:46 PM edit delete reply
Sha are native to and contained in the Isle of Pandaria and are intrinsically linked to the Heart of Y'shaarj. Going by the time Gilneas was invaded to the current age of Anders which is 5 (I'm only assuming he was 1 or 2 when Joric 'died'), this comic appears to be set around the time or after the Heart of Y'shaarj was destroyed (3-4 years after the events of the Cataclysm) ie Present Time. What this means is, there can be no new Sha since the source of all Sha is dead. Even if Y'shaarj wasn't finally slain he didn't have the strength to reach out beyond the Isles, otherwise we'd be seeing Sha all over Azeroth.
LockNRoll 9th Jul 2014, 4:59 PM edit delete reply
For example, a possible sha that could be spawned in this situation would be The Sha of Regret. As it is hinted at that any negative emotion can become a sha.

An interesting hypothesis, jlmdragon. It would indeed be a productive tactic on Mordin's part to give the druids a new problem to deal with, since they have proven of late to be quite a thorn in the side of his plans.

What I find very interesting is the fact that he was not only able to somehow draw Kinar into the Emerald Dream (which is usually a conscious effort on the part of the druid entering it as the go to sleep), but that he was also able to shape her `nice little prison' himself. As I've noted before, he has to be in possession of a great deal of power that is far above and beyond what a Death Knight could normally acquire. That, and...as others have mentioned...he was possibly a druid himself, before his death.
HH 4th Jul 2014, 11:50 AM edit delete reply
After reading this new page I have a new hypothesis, in my previous theory Mordin maybe possibly have been a druid before his death, and once he was reanimated as a death knight, he could of retained some of his druid power but not enough to enter the emerald dream in his sleep since death knights don't need to sleep.

so I was thinking that possibly he is physically in the emerald dream, which brings me to think that he found a portal like the ones in Kalimdor, and eastern kingdoms.
Lenanu 4th Jul 2014, 12:07 PM edit delete reply
Its most likely a case of him enlisting a corrupt druid to help with the shaping of the dream prison

i sense a Little "sha infected"
Aetheos 4th Jul 2014, 10:20 PM edit delete reply
She hasn't been to pandaria (far as i know) nor have pandaren been introduced... so yeah... welcome to the emerald nightmare, has nothing to do with the sha.
Amocin 4th Jul 2014, 11:09 PM edit delete reply
Amocin
Whoever sha is, I do not know.. They have not been included as part of the story. Also, canon characters can not be included in this story.
Royell 4th Jul 2014, 11:13 AM edit delete reply
This is absolutely brilliant! I was working off the idea that Mordin was doing this out of some kind of twisted sense of attachment, but this is straight up evil schemeing at its finest! I never even considered that he fully intended to weaponize her Druidic control of the emerald dream. Now, I wonder, will Kinar have to go in to save her? My understanding is that the emerald dream is a very malleable plane, it would be interesting to see how a rescue mission there would turn out.
Royell 4th Jul 2014, 3:24 PM edit delete reply
Meant Serid, not Kinar. Epic fail.
Lenanu 4th Jul 2014, 12:05 PM edit delete reply
Seeing as how the little one is being sheltered under the dragon's wings not to mention said dragon looking angry... I do believe the cub is being protected against his father XD

"A powerful druid like Kinar can shape the Emerald Dream... with her nightmares"

With the Emerald Nightmare crisis already occurring in the Emerald dream led by the old gods, doesn't Mordin risk attracting the attention of the whole Green Dragonflight with this plan? I mean even Ysera personally is fighting the spread of the nightmare tooth and claw and a new patch of nightmare is sure to draw some of the green dragonflights attention as they are actively trying to contain it. Is Mordin just reckless or suicidal, his list of enemies already include the Druids, A Red Dragon, And a number of Alliance and Horde heros. Messing with the dream just adds to that list though could draw the ire of a whole flight against him in which case his cause is lost as they'd annihilate them.
Amocin 4th Jul 2014, 12:23 PM edit delete reply
Amocin
I cant say anything other then yes its risky, and he is fully aware how risky that is, but he really has few options. Whatever he can use to his advantage, he will. There really is no holding back when you are in a prison with no ability to call in reinforcements.
Royell 4th Jul 2014, 3:31 PM edit delete reply
At the same time, this gives him a bit of a safeguard. The Emerald Dream is actively being plagued by other, much more powerful outside sources. I feel he's banking on the other dragons being too tied up to notice , and/or respond with sufficient force to stop him. He's shown he can hold his own against an adult dragon, at least for a while. I imagine it would take a pretty big force to defeat him, not even accounting for the nightmare Kinar is creating to unintentionally back him up.
Dreamfox 4th Jul 2014, 4:54 PM edit delete reply
Well, if he can take out Drogan, the shield holding him and his men are gone. With the Druids distracted he might have a chance.

From the forces Drogan has, they could probably wipe out Mordin and his men either directly or by attrition.

Essentially, he has nothing to loose.

Dreamfox 4th Jul 2014, 4:47 PM edit delete reply
That's what it looks like.
Longtail 9th Jul 2014, 8:04 PM edit delete reply
Yeah...I don't think Mordin was lying about him stopping her before she killed them both and they were both cursed...she may or may not have lead to Mordin's death that resulted him in being risen as a DK though.

I'm sure we'll learn all that shortly though. *shares popcorn*
Beasttusk 4th Jul 2014, 12:58 PM edit delete reply
question on the last panel who is talking the dragon or Mordin?

Kinar.
Voxy Vox 4th Jul 2014, 1:39 PM edit delete reply
To me it looks like mordin put her here to access her memory, and to make he no able to be used against him by drogan. Not cause of her strong druid capabilities. Perhaps, as the mother of his child, He feels a need to preserve her away from the current conflict for now. I also think that it as mordin put the child in the dream and not kinar. Im already dreading the wait for next friday~

By this point now, I am beginning to wonder how the hell Mordin managed to trap Kinar within the Emerald dream in the first place. Her physical body was safe... oh well, 5 more days and 1 more hour till we get to the next step of the comic. Keep up the good work!

well the nightmare is a old gods doing and has some thing to do with "in the sleeping city of Ny'alotha walk only mad things."the old god is asleep "In the sunken city, he lays dreaming." "Have you had the dream again? A black goat with seven eyes that watches from the outside.""The silent, sleeping, staring houses in the backwoods always dream. It would be merciful to tear them down.""In the land of Ny'alotha there is only sleep."

My only wonder is, how long as this "dream prison" been in effect?

It would be a terrible shame if Kinar and Serid's relationship was nothing more than a fabrication by Mordin.
